One of the leading telecommunications companies in Egypt, Etisalat, has surprised the viewers of Cairo’s billboards with an outdoor advertising campaign to spread more awareness about Etisalat Cash, using singer and actor Hamada Helal as its brand ambassador for the very first time.
Following its last appearance in Egypt for Akwa Kart last November, Etisalat is switching its strategy to use sarcasm this time, playing on the long history of Hamada Helal’s basic humor to deliver more information about its instant money transfer service, Etisalat Cash. The visuals snap a shot of the star from the integrated TV ad, while using the service in action. On the other hand, the ad copy announces “Etisalat Cash”, that is “Much more powerful”, adding “Daily prizes and a grand prize that goes up to EGP 25,000”. Moreover, the bottom side states that this service is also available via “Meeza, Banque du Caire, and Mastercard”.
